"My aging curve on this wine may be conservative. Why? No Ventoux estate has ever before produced wines this concentrated and balanced. ... My tasting notes on my visit with proprietor Sebastien Vincenti ended with the comment, "These wines are simply too good for their prices. Does anyone really believe such amazing quality exists at this price range?" Robert Parker

"The spectacular 2001 Cotes du Ventoux Cuvee Nadal is a blend of 50% old Grenache (aged in tank) and 50% Syrah (aged in barrel). There are 20,000 bottles of this fleshy effort revealing pure blackberry fruitiness, well-concealed alcohol (16% for the Grenache and 15% for the Syrah), a luscious, layered texture, and a blockbuster finish with great purity as well as intensity. It will provide thrilling drinking over the next 5-6 years. At $17 a bottle, it is hard to believe there are many better wines in the world than this. "Although slightly tart, with higher acidity than normal, the 2002 Cotes du Ventoux Cuvee Fayard (60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 10% Carignan) possesses good fruit as well as medium body. Drink this picnic-styled red over the next year, chilled if you desire. I can?t say enough about the efforts being made by proprietor Sebastien Vincenti." Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate #151
