This is the first release from a partnership between Michel and Dany Rolland of Libourne, and the well-known family of Jacques and Francois Lurton of Graves (the name is Spanish for Champs Elysees). Toro Campo Eliseo 2001 $54.99 "Power to spare. This inky, thick-textured red carries an enormous load of toasty oak and ripe black fruit, yet remains balanced, even graceful on the palate. Coffee and chocolate notes from oak dominate now, but there's plenty of stuffing to age. Like a bodybuilder: not quite natural, but impressive. Tinta de Toro.
