Domaine Saint-Remy

The vineyards of Domaine Saint-Remy have been exploited by the Ehrhardt family since 1725, including current owner Francois and his son Philippe. Among the 20 hectares are prime vineyards in 10 of the most famous villages surrounding Colmar - Wettolsheim, Eguisheim, Gueberschwihr, Wintzenheim, Turckheim, Niedermorschwihr, Sigolsheim, Ammerschwihr et Kientzheim. Included in these holdings are parcels of 5 of the Grand Crus, Goldert, Hengst, Brand, Schlossberg and Steingrubler. The Ehrhart family committed themselves to organic farming two generations ago and the wines are all certified organic. Most of the work is done by family members by hand and the wines show wonderful purity and elegance. Each block is vinified separately and the wines rest on their lees for up to 6 months before bottling.
