On the western edge of the Rhone Valley near the village of St Gilles, the small estate of St Antoine is managed by Jean Louis Emmanuel. The use of old vine Syrah results in rich, concentrated wines that are bottled unfiltered to preserve the intensity of the flavors and aromas.

Costieres de Nimes Rose
2003 $18.99
"The austere but fruity, delicious 2003 Rose (65% Syrah and 35% Grenache) is produced from 40+ year old vines. It possesses medium body, admirable fruit, and a drier style than some southern French roses. Drink it over the next 6-9 months." Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate #153

Costieres de Nimes Cuvee Oliviers
Crafted entirely from 50 year old Syrah vines.
2002 $14.99
2000 $13.99

Vin de Pays du Gard Syrah

2003 $8.99
" The straightforward, easy-going, medium-bodied, deep ruby/purple-colored 2003 Syrah reveals monolithic black currant fruit, but little complexity. It is a quaffable red meant for uncritical drinking." Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate #153
2002 $8.99
"
The 2002 Syrah is lean and austere in the finish, but it reveals pleasant blackberry and earthy fruit, supple tannin, and a fine texture. Drink it over the next 12-15 months." Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate #147
