"Another excellent estate is Mas des Bressades. Readers cannot ask for more hedonistic, flavorful, mouth-filling, juicy wines than these efforts from Mas des Bressades, an estate that consistently makes the pages of my Best Buy reports." Robert Parker

Syrah/Grenache Vin de Pays du Gard
2003 $10.99
"This is one of my favorite value-priced producers. The 2003 Syrah/Grenache (a 50-50 blend) boasts a deep ruby color in addition to a striking perfume of melted licorice and black cherry jam. This elegant, medium-bodied red possesses a lovely texture, admirable purity, and a lush, heady finish. Consume it over the next 1-2 years." Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate #153
2002 $10.99
"The tank-fermented and aged 2002 Grenache/Syrah (45% of the former and 55% of the latter) boasts plenty of black currant and berry fruit along with hints of licorice, pepper, and spice. It could easily pass for a light-weight Chateauneuf du Pape. The finish is slightly compressed and short (no doubt because of the trying vintage conditions), but this is a tasty southern French fruit bomb to enjoy over the next 1-2 years." Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate #147

Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah
2002 $15.99
"Decadent aromas, with dark plum and espresso flavors, and vanilla and spice notes on the finish. Good concentration for the vintage, though a little backward on the finish. Drink now through 2006." The Wine Spectator 9/15/04

Roussanne/Viognier Vin de Pays du Gard
2003 $15.99
" This is one of my favorite value-priced producers. Twenty percent of Mas des Bressades? 2003 Roussanne/Viognier (equal parts of each) was aged in wood, and 80% in tank prior to blending. It is an exotic, light gold-colored effort displaying a flamboyant nose of ripe (nearly over-ripe) peaches and apricots intermixed with notions of lychee nuts. Medium to full-bodied and unctuously-textured, this is a thick, juicy, powerful, fat white." Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate #153

Costieres de Nimes Rose
2003 $10.99
